Valérie Jurčíková is a fashion designer and graduate of the Fashion and Footwear Design Studio at UMPRUM in Prague, where she studied under Professor Liběna Rochová. Her work draws on personal experiences, everyday situations, and the environment around her. Her collections often reference the aesthetics of the turn of the millennium (Y2K), though she does not adopt them literally. Instead, she uses them as a contemporary interpretive element and a means of creating new connections between nostalgia and current fashion.
